My Friends

Yes, this is where I put out the name of all my friends, and if youre not mentioned here, its probably because I dont like you. Na, just kidding. If you know me and feel you are being forsaken, just send me a mail. Well, I think I should probably start with my parents, just to be politically correct, and mention my father Peppe, and my mother Hannah. There, you are mentioned! I'll go on with my lovely sister Annalill, a couple of years younger than me, my great brother Jonathan, four years younger, and my cute (but crazy) little brother Josef. Happy, family? I mentioned you first! Now dont come with any complaints! I will go on with the rest of my family. On my father's side, my grandfather Heinz and his wife Gabriella. My grandmother Gullan in Sweden, my uncle Mats in Storvreta, Sweden, his wife Kristina, and his children Samuel, Mikael and Elana. Of course my cousin Therese, from Mats' earlier marriage is not to be forgotten. As we go on, there is my aunt Ester in Stockholm, her husband Jurek, and her children Hannah and Simon, and also her earlier children, Mika and Malou.

As we go on with my mother's family, there is my grandfather, Eskil in Uppsala, my grandmother Christa in Kristianstad and all my aunts and uncles with family. They all live in or near Kristianstad, except one. There is my aunt Miriam, my uncle Peter, the only one not in Kristianstad, in Robertsfors, north Sweden, his wife Anna and his children Simon and Mattias. My uncle Patrik, his wife Mia and his children Elias, Ida and Oliver. My aunt Rosie in Everöd and her boyfriend, Iwwe, and her children Robin and Sara. And finally, my aunt Johanna in Glimåkra, her husband Daniel and her children Benjamin and Jolina.

Thats family, and now we go on to friends.... oh, no wait! I can't forget the Fröjmarks, Lars and Angi, my grandmother's sister, and their daughter, my mother's cousin, who is in my age, Johanna. She introduced me to the wonderful world of Heavy Metal, and is my Heavy Metal guru. Thankyou!

Now, my friends in Uppsala, Sweden... It has been hard to keep up good contact, and many people I have more or less lost contact with. My best friend in Sweden is with no shade of doubt, Jonatan. Then there's also my cousin Samuel, and Isak. Hm... that's more or less it, I think. Talking bout my friends in my age. Of course there is also the Strömgrens (Lasse, Ninna, Johannes and Andreas), the Sahlbergs (Lars, Lena, David, Maria and Simon) and the Wigrens (Bosse and Monika).

Of course I have friends on other places in Sweden. There is Maria Grip in Sundsvall. I first met her when she was visiting Israel in april 2000. She was here visiting her friend Ida Eriksson, that was (and still is, for that matter), a very good friend of mine. We were on the same car on the way back to Jerusalem from Eilat, and just started talking, and we just kept on all the way to Jerusalem. 300 kilometers. I don't think I've ever talked that much. Anyway, we've kept up contact since. We also met when I was visiting Sweden. Now we talk all the time on email and ICQ. She's a great friend, and if you don't know her, I feel sorry for you. She studies five languages at the same time, but only speaks Swedish fluently. She is very nice, cute, great, etcetera, etcetera. She is also totally crazy. Just like me! You can reach her homepage through my linkpage, and I have her photo in my photoalbum. Then there's the Eriksson sisters: Ida Eriksson in Hålland, Kicki and Anna. There is also my former class mate, Angelinn in Strängnäs.

Now we go over to Israel. In Ma'ale Adumim, there's Shmulik, Shachar and Sagi. Now, what can I tell you bout them? Shmulik is a cool guy, but he gets totally enthustiastic when he's discussing something. He has to win a discussion. In the worst case he'll make up facts to convince you. Therefore you can't really know if you should believe him or not. He is good at fooling people too, cuz he's a great actor. Shachar is big. Big but childish. It will probably wear off, but he's funny when he acts so childish, when he looks so grown-up... He is against the idea that the ortodox jews should run our lives and decide when to drive, and what to eat, and I agree with him on that. Shachars last name is Shalev, because his parents changed it when he was little. He doesnt want his real last name, Gigi, to be published. Sagi is a quiet shy boy, but once you get to know him he is very nice. I envy his drivings licence. Mary will probably kill me if I don't mention her, so here you are, Mary. I mentioned you. Happy? These are all more or less mine and Annalills friends. Once I also counted Yaniv as a friend of mine, but I can't really feel comfortable talking to him anymore, now that he and my sister broke up. Oh, and l should also mention Rachel in Gilo, although she is mostly Annalill's friend. Then theres also Benny and Titti in Netanya, the Shomrons outside Jerusalem, the Anderssons in Maale Efraim and the Danielssons in Lapid.

In the year 2000 I won a trip to France by doing a scetch from Molière (Le Bourgeois Gentilhomme) with Alona from my french class. Oops! I forgot to mention my French class! My great French class in Maale Adumim. Of course Alona, with whom I won the contest, and flew to France with. More about her later. Anna, whose dialouge with Alona unfortunally didnt reach the finals, so she had to stay home. It's OK, Anna, I love you anyway. What can I tell you about her? We always thought she was the nice cute girl she seemed to be in class, but on the school trip we discovered her real personality. Believe me, you don't wanna know. Yoanna, the Romanian girl. She likes asking the teacher for more homework... for some strange reason, we all still love her. Irit, who spills out her boyfriend problems to us and the teacher. Of course there's also Natalie, my French teacher who always were there for me. I'll never forget you. Lately, after I moved to Eilat, Ive heard she has become Irit's "psychologist"... Everyone's actually, but mostly hers. I guess its easier when Im gone, and there are only girls in the class.

Now, where were I? Oh, yes, the trip to France. We were in CILS (Centre International Linguistique et Sportif), in Troissy, Champagne, France. It was great. The only bad thing was the separation between boys and girls. One building for boys and one for girls... that was irritating. I was caught twice in the girls' room. Haha! At CILS there were people from all over the world, but we, the Israelis were the only ones who came in an organized group. And we didnt have to pay. I have lots of photos, that you can see on my "photo album" page, from there. Anyways, it was great, and I miss everyone. I miss the place, I even miss the food. Every day we were waked up at 8.00, and at 8.30 it was time for breakfast. Then we went to our classes and studied French until 10.00 when we ate lunch. My teacher turned out to be Finnish-French, and he knew Swedish. He was a great teacher too. I hope you see this, Fredrique. After Lunch it was afternoon activities. Different sports ranging from water ski and kayaking to aerobics and fencing. Lotsa stuff anyway. It was great. I tried to water ski once, and fell three times. I was pretty much with Yulia and Alona, amongst others. About Alona: She is very funny to be with. She was supposed to bring some "sprite" to the trip (with that I mean a sprite bottle with half sprite and half tequila), but she didn't have time. She hangs out with drug addicts from the Russian maffia in Ma'ale Adumim, the ones that Shmulik's father releases from jail (don't try to understand if you don't know it). We always come down on each other, but we actually do love each other... don't we, Alona? Before the trip we said that after this trip we would be glad that I'm moving to Eilat, and we wouldn't have to put up with each other anymore, but it turned out to be so untrue. We just became closer friends after the trip. When it comes to Yulia: she's now moving to Canada for some reason. Its cold over there! Why, Yulia, why??? I wont even be there to warm you up... (internal joke). Another good friend I made on this trip is Ginny, from Canada. Well, she lives in Ireland. She controls the waves, and think things are "so wrong". (internal jokes). Theres of course also Inês from Portugal, who started to draw on my belly, so I had to jump into the Seine river to wash it off... twice! There's Gev, who had his own ideas of great words and phrases (I won't go into it now), Maya, who Im sure, loved my joke about the monk and the knight... didnt you? Of course, not to forget my room mates, Amir, Lior, Motti and Tomer. Tomer is the one who invented the phrase "smoking a man's ass". I think he was pretty tired when he said that. He has taken some pictures off me with my camera. One in the very early morning, one when I was asleep, and one when Lior was next to me in the bed. It was only because he wanted to see me play with my snake! Why are you laughing? Oh, you have such a dirty fantasy! I mean the game "snake" on the cell phone!!!!!!! Amir is a very good friend, but he can be very annoying sometimes. But then again, who doesnt? He is totally obsessed with his hair, that's one thing. The first night we came to CILS, we were talking to each other, all five, but me and Amir were still awake when all the others had fallen asleep. I guess that's how it began. I had to talk to him, cuz there was no one else... Nah, but he's a great guy. But sometimes he tries to live his fantasies through me.... (Internal joke. Ha-mevin yavin). Then there's Lior. The one who watched me play with my snake... He is short, funny, very annoying sometimes (but who isn't?), always fighting with Amir. He is also an AJAX freak. I slept over at his place last time I was in Kfar Saba. The walls in his room are filled up with AJAX stuff. Anyway. As Im already talking to him I want to mention his sister that I met there. First time I've met a chauvinistic woman... Na, not chauvinistic, but she was great to talk to and everything. Motti. What can I tell ya about him? Addicted to snake. Borrowed my phone numerous times to play snake. He also used it to call home, and wasted 15 shekels. But I'll let him off. Just cuz I like him. Hm... what more can I say about him. Trying to think of something embarrassing. Cant really think of anything. He used to stand in the window and wave to the girls in their rooms every night and morning, I remember. Well, maybe not every night or morning. Who else should I mention? Adi, of course, who had to translate every second word Fredrique said. My French vocabulary is not very good. Cicelle from Denmark. She was so funny! I went crazy once in class (Running around, strangling Mariana, pretending to get epilepsy attacks and so on, you know, the usual), and Cicelle got so scared she had to go outside for a minute to calm down. Her German friend Judith told me afterwards that the only way I could appologize to her was to run around naked everywhere... I didn't follow her advice. Hope you can forgive me, Cicelle. Then there's Susanna from England. I didn't tell her then, but she did sound very funny because of her brittish accent. She was also completely crazy. That's what I liked about her. There's also Rinat, I think she must've been the most beautiful one of all the israelis. I tried to hit on her, with no success. There's also Eti, the crazy one in the group. There's always one of them. The trip would've been much more boring without her. There's Severin from Latvia, who drove me crazy talking Russian to Alona and Yulia. He took a not-so-flattering-photo of me, which he sent to Alona. She could blackmail me now with it. I don't want people to see it. There's Arnaldo from Venezuela, Alistair from England, Connie from Luxembourg, who didn't speak english at all, and I had to try to communicate with my halting French. It actually worked pretty well. Hm... anyone else...? Well, anyway, we went on some trips too, to Paris, to Eurodisney, to Asterixland and to Reims. So many fun stuff happened during this trip... for example, once when we were on a break from the morning classes, it was pretty cold outside, and Yulia said she was cold. Just as a joke, I said "come here, let me warm you", and she did... Some people took pictures, I dont have them though. It should be pointed out that it was only to get warm, and nothing beyond that... anyway, we've been joking a bit about it. As the internal joke above. I want to send my regards to anyone who was there at the center, mentioned or unmentioned. It was great spending two weeks with you. I love you, guys! I also want to send my regards to my arab friends in Yafo, Haifa and Nazareth. Aida, Fatmeh, Shirin, George, Saleem, Rim and Asmahan. Did I forget anyone? On that center there were also people from Tunisia, Syria and Iran. I don't remember their names, though, except for Chalil from Tunisia. It was great that we could be together like the brothers we are, instead of fighting for no reason.

Okay, last but not least I want to mention my friends here in Eilat. Now, the problem is that you don't know who really is your friend until you move away and see who keep in touch. Therefore, as a rule (so that it won't happen that the entire school will be mad at me for not mentioning them) I will only mention those who I will be able to stay in touch with after that Ive left Eilat, that is those whose phone number I have. If we then go in alphabetical order, there is Adi in my class, a very nice girl whom I love very much (as a friend that is), Aviv in my paralell class, Daniela one class below me, Debby, a very good friend from the Alon school, she is in 7 points english with me, There is Hagar who is in the army now. There is Moran, who is short and cute, and very funny. Then there's the lovely Na'ama and her boyfriend Stas. In my paralell class there is Raz (the man) and in my class, Sagiv, one of the guitarrists in the local rock band "Chaos" (which is an awesome band). There is Sivan in my class and then theres of courseYohai. I will just shut up about him. U wanna know about him, check out his homepage http://www.yohai.com There is also Dvora a couple of classes below me. She's originally from Argentina, and I envy her ability to speak Spanish. Anyway, she is a very fun person. And of course Abigail, Hadar and Rotem who will kill me if they go unmentioned on this page. Abi is half british and has a funny brittish accent. Hadar is Hadar and theres nothing more to it. Rotem is my dear neighbour.

Well, that's it. Why would you want to read through all this? Probably because I know you, and you wanted to see if Ive mentioned you. Well have I? If not, just mail me and complain. For example, if Leire or Bea from Spain read this, or Astrid or Mariana from Venezuela, they might get mad because I forgot to mention them (Sorry bout that). In that case, just send me a mail.
